These instructions are for Outlook 2003 and Apple Mail.
Summary
Your Username will be you@yourdomain.com.au
Your Incoming mail server will be mail.yourdomain.com.au
Your Outgoing mail server will be mail.yourdomain.com.au
Outgoing mail server requires authentication (use same username and password as the incoming mail server)
Outlook Setup
- Go to Tools > Email Accounts. (This will open a popup window.)
- Select "Add a new e-mail account". Click "Next".
- Select "POP3". Click "Next". This will load the "POP3 Internet E-mail Settings" window. See Figure 1.
- In the "Your Name" field, enter your name.
- In the "E-mail Address" field, enter your complete email address.
- In both the "Incoming mail server" and the "Outgoing mail server" fields, enter "mail.yourdomain.com.au".
- In the "User Name" field, enter your complete email address.
- In the "Password" field, enter your email password.
- You're not done yet! Click the "More Settings" button. This will open another "Internet E-mail Settings" popup window.
- Click on the "Outgoing Server" tab. Click the "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication" checkbox.
- Click the "OK" button. That second popup will close.
- Back in the original popup window, click the "Next" button.
- Click the "Finish" button.

Apple Mail Setup
- Go to MAIL > PREFERENCES > ACCOUNTS.
- Click on the PLUS button at bottom left.
- Enter email account details.
Email: you@domain.com
Password: [your-password]
- Verify the certificate (Select Always Trust). Click connect, verify your computer password, you may need to do this twice.
- Enter the Incoming Mailer Server details.
Email: you@domain.com
Incoming Mail Server: mail.yourdomain.com
Password: [your-password]
- If you get the Certificate Verification warning again, select Always Trust and move on.
- Enter Incoming Mail Server details.
Email: you@domain.com
Outgoing Mail Server: mail.yourdomain.com
Use Authentication: YES
Username: you@domain.com
Password: [your-password]
- Account Summary and take online.
